Clinical Manager

Requirements:

Provides skilled occupational therapy services and assessment in accordance with the physician’s plan of care.

Assesses patient’s functional status, establishes goals, and develops a plan of care.

Provides direct occupational therapy treatment to patients to improve or restore physical function, activities of daily living (ADLs), and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).

Instructs patients, families, and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment and compensatory techniques to maximize independence.

Therapeutic activities to restore physical function include exercises for neuromuscular re-education and cognitive re-training.

Therapeutic tasks and activities to restore sensory-integrative function.

Treatments address upper-extremity function: functionality, mobility, range of motion and strength; safety needs; and energy conservation.

Compensatory techniques to improve level of independence in ADLs.

Designing, fabricating, and fitting orthotic and/or self-help devices to compensate for loss of function.

Evaluates the home environment for safety concerns and recommends home equipment.

Assigns and supervises COTAs as required by state regulations, if any, and accreditation standards.

Assigns and supervises Home Health Aides as required by Medicare/Medicaid and state regulations, if any.

Participates in patient care conferences as needed or required by person.

Demonstrates competency in providing care/services and provides care/services in accordance with the plan of care.

Completes appropriate competencies for Occupational Therapists and COTAs as directed by the Clinical Manager.

Maintains accurate and timely clinical records.

Communicates with the physician and other team members regarding the patient’s plan of care and progress.

Participates in the agency’s quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) program as requested.

Participates in in-service programs and continuing education as required.

Maintains confidentiality of all patient and agency information.
Complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations in performance of job functions.

Performs other related functions as directed.

Marketer

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Sales experience in marketing preferred, preferably in home care/healthcare operations.
Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community.
Knowledge of corporate business management.
Demonstrates excellent and efficient communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
Demonstrates autonomy, strong organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
Ability to be a self starter, be self motivated and disciplined.
Prior experience in the Home Health or Hospice market is preferred.
Have the ability to organize & execute programs, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks & deadlines with minimal supervision, and the ability to maintain and adhere to multiple budgets.
Ability to be a problem solver and a solution seeker will be necessary.
Dealing with the timely needs of your accounts in a professional manner while setting realistic expectations of what we as a Home Health and Hospice Agency are capable of executing.
Know and understand the federal, state, and local laws, and regulatory guidelines governing the operations of home care/personal care, home health, and hospice.
Positive and professional business image.
Ability to effectively receive referrals each month in ethical and legal fashion.
Ability to listen and understand information and ideas.
Understanding and adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times
